“Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening].”

The true sense of Love is pure, strong, and unconditional. This divine Love comes straight from God, so it knows no limits or fears or selfish intentions. It is the Love that is present with us at all times and that we are able to both receive and express.
When we feel like we can’t hold up or like things are too challenging for us, we can always turn to divine Love for our refuge. This spiritual affection keeps us safe and is invincible; whereas its opposite—a belief in anger, fear, hatred, resentment—makes us feel weak and unsteady, alone, and in doubt. Divine Love vanquishes anything that would attack its government. Love easily and naturally dispels grief and shame with its enduring goodness and tender mercy.
Love doesn’t give up. It doesn’t pass judgment. Love expects the best and therefore it gets it! This Love that is God is our true nature. It thrives in giving and sharing. It isn’t a personal, conditional compassion. It is the infinite embrace of God, knowing no exceptions and being All-in-all, to all, always.
This divine Love is not elusive nor is it found only in or for special selected persons. It is the very active presence and power that is readily at hand—fadeless, no matter what; enduring all human circumstances with certainty and power; and coming to each of us right where we are with God’s powerful, healing, saving, and renewing grace.
