If we attempt to accomplish things by means that aren’t God-like—that are not good, kind, loving, purely-motivated—we forfeit true power.

“The good you do and embody gives you the only power obtainable.”

Mary Baker Eddy

(Science and Health, page 192)

God is all-power. God is good and good is God. In the measure that we rely on and utilize goodness, so do we have the power to do what we intend to do and to do it well. Our capacity to achieve and to succeed is necessarily and naturally contingent on God, good.

On the other hand, if we attempt to accomplish things by means that aren’t God-like—that are not good, kind, loving, purely-motivated—we forfeit true power. God is Almighty and His nature alone has efficacy and authority. And, gratefully, we are made in His image and likeness, and created to be that very embodiment, that living witness to His qualities and His infinite presence.

If you want to be powerful, good is the way to go! Listen for the heart within you and act in accord with that loving voice. Do good because it is how you succeed, but also because it feels right, pleasing, satisfying, and most natural.

Berlin (AFP) – The German government Wednesday (March 22, 2017) approved plans to quash the convictions of 50,000 men sentenced for homosexuality under a Nazi-era law which remained in force after the war, and offer compensation.

“Article 175 destroyed careers and ruined lives,” Justice Minister Heiko Maas said in a statement. “The few victims who are still alive today deserve to finally have justice.”
