“Hope” requires being willing to step forward without timidity or hesitation for what’s right by Laura Moliter.

September 23rd, 2011. Was anybody really surprised that none of the pre-candidates sided with the soldier?  Where have all the leaders gone? Pampered hypocrites may ride on easy street here, but they can’t forever break the Golden Rule and escape the penalty due.  Perhaps the status quo became just too easy. Complacency has an expected end.

Captain Hill, you are not alone in your sincerity as right gives might.  Perhaps others could learn from this clip.  If the sincerity isn’t there then the message lacks power and will be shut out because it will never get through the people’s mental gate.  Perhaps this is most clearly seen by those speaking beyond their ability and demonstration.

“…in your hearts set Christ apart as holy [and acknowledge Him] as Lord. Always be ready to give a logical defense to anyone who asks you to account for the hope that is in you, but do it courteously and respectfully.”

(I Peter 3: 15, Amplified Bible Classic Edition)

We should be willing to share with others our inspired understanding of God and the Christ-Truth. We should be at the ready to give of that Spirit without timidity or hesitation.

If we are to do this, we must certainly begin with truly accepting that Christ within our hearts. We must consciously acknowledge and honestly feel the Truth from God that has come to set us free. We can’t go spreading a message of God’s grace from a point of insincerity, for it will not ring true or have any real power behind it.

If we are to share this healing reality we have come to see, we must let God, Love, guide us in this. We should indeed be ready with our “logical defense” of the hope that is in us. When that light is seen, we should be prepared to tell others about the Source of this light and to let them know of its universal availability. We can let that light within be a flame to share with another ready candle.

But let us remember to be respectful. The Truth of the Christ is that all mankind are God’s children and that they, as we, are already inspired, wise, blessed. So, we can share our joyous knowledge with others, not defensively, but with eagerness to unite with fellow children. And let’s not forget to pause and listen, trusting God to guide us in what to say and in when it is time to receive another’s heartfelt sharing with us.
